Mission & Values

"We want to serve young business / professional leaders (and emerging leaders) in their spiritual, personal and professional development so they achieve success and significance while making a difference in their world."

"A significant number of our nation's leaders have no moral compass. Right and wrong have become confused. The business and professional community is a mission field. Out of this group come the people who shape our course as a society. It is crucial that we reach them in the formative years of their careers so that their influence for Christ will be multiplied in years to come. I can't think of a more strategic place to invest your time." - Jack McGill, Founding National Director

Why the workplace?
Even though people are surrounded in our cities by thousands of people they are "relationally starved." Their world outside of work tends to be small and select. It is only in the work environment that they are forced to interact with all types of people. This lack of community, once a normal part of society, gives even further credence to the need to penetrate the marketplace with a winsome and biblically relevant presentation of the gospel. Many will never encounter a Christian with a biblical lifestyle outside their work environment.

These men and women desire more than the recognition and influence that come with a successful career. They yearn for a deeper spiritual reality, yet have little or no understanding of biblical Christianity. Most of their concepts of Christianity come from the media or others who do not live a biblical lifestyle.

Many have never had an opportunity to personally receive Christ as their Savior and Lord. They are "distressed and downcast, like sheep without a shepherd" (Matthew 9:36). It is imperative that men and women be introduced to Christ, helped to grow in their faith and equipped to influence their culture as Christ's ambassadors.

Obviously, there are many venues where a person could have a relational encounter: family, neighbor, church, etc. But, for many young professionals that encounter will never be outside of the workplace.

A quote that has always motivated me is by Dwight L. Moody, one of the greatest evangelists of all times:
"If we reach the cities, we will reach the nations; If we fail in the cities, they will become a cesspool which will infect the entire nations. " - Dwight L. Moody

Mission
To Present Christ and develop spiritual leaders in the marketplace.

Purpose
To honor God by helping fulfill the Great Commission in the power of the Holy Spirit through the winning, building and sending of young business and professional men and women.

Vision
Changed Lives, Changed Cities!

  • Professional men and women becoming Christians by the thousands.
  • Christians visibly applying their faith in the workplace and encouraging each other.
  • Secular professionals exposed to the relevance of biblical principles and to dynamic Christians who are leaders in business, government and sports.
  • Christians boldly sharing their faith with their colleagues and co-workers.
  • Hundreds of men and women meeting weekly in offices for prayer and Bible study.

We believe that God will bring a day when the life-changing message of Jesus Christ brings a noticeable difference to a lost and desperate business community. A new kind of professional is needed for the next century; one who is spiritually mature, dynamic, honest and a bold spokesperson for God in the marketplace.

The History of Priority Associates
Priority Associates was founded in November of 1994 out of a heart to be more effective in making an impact in the cities of America for Jesus Christ. It has its roots in the Here's Life America movement and seeks to establish ministries of winning, building, and sending in the business and professional communities of America.

The Here's Life America movement burst on the scene across the nation in 1976 with the "I Found It Campaign" media campaign and exposed millions to the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Over the course of several years thousands of Christians were trained in how to share their faith with their friends and associates.

In 1994, the leadership of Campus Crusade for Christ sensed God moving in an exciting, new direction. They saw the need to focus on reaching the young business and professional person - the emerging leader of tomorrow. Thus, Priority Associates was born. Priority Associates' vision is to equip the next generation of leaders with opportunities and tools to be Christ-centered, value-driven leaders having a desire to make a difference in their world.

Join Priority Associates in our commitment to develop Christ-centered leaders in the professional world who have an eternal perspective, and a powerful, positive influence in the life of others. Priority Associates is a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ to the business and professional community
