Making A Difference
Here
is what others have said about their involvement with Priority Associates.
Colin Maiorano
"I
have a heart for reaching out to others, but I often find the business
world to be overwhelming, and many times I have struggled to survive,
let alone reach out to others.
"Then
I joined a Priority Associates group study and through it, I met a really
good friend. The two of us meet regularly to pray and hold one another
accountable to grow personally, professionally and spiritually. He is
the only person in my life who has prayed for me just about everyday since
we met. There are many reasons that I am affiliated with Priority Associates,
but one of the most important is that through PA, God has given me special
relationships. I want to return the favor to others.
Colin
is a motivational speaker who shares about his relationship with God in
an optional session at his seminars. He has taught seminars at conferences
for Priority Associates. He works closely with Priority Associates in
Indianapolis.
Andrew & Melissa Szabo
"For
over 20 years I have been in the workplace. I have seen the choices that
people make and how they are so temporal - here today and gone tomorrow.
What people are seeking won't sustain them. We have been there. Filling
one's life with all the things the world has to offer will leave them
thirsty. We want to share God's peace and how we have experienced God's
infinite love. It has been a phenomenal 6 years. Melissa and I have experienced
a healing and deepening love in our marriage.
"We
want others to experience and feel the joy of connecting with God. The
change we have seen in people fuels our own passion to be followers of
Jesus Christ. Our driving motivation is that we have been there. We empathize
with the hours that people put in and the juggling act that they have
to perform to make their lives work.
"Richard
C. Halverson, Chaplain of the U.S. Senate in his famous benediction probably
best summarized it: 'You go nowhere by accident. Wherever you go, God
is sending you. Wherever you are God has put you there. He has a purpose
in you being there.'
"Priority
Associates helps me keep a vision for this. They have developed the best
cutting-edge we have seen, but also take very seriously the commitment
to pray. We believe that combination will be exceptional success."
Andrew
and Melissa live in Dallas, Texas and help give leadership to Priority
Associates.
Will Barnes
"The
other day I was in a Priority Associates office. I asked Jay, a staff
person, where he found the people he talks to one-to-one or in groups.
He showed me two stacks of cards from different events that Priority Associates
had hosted. He said that each card was a person interested in spiritual
issues and were hungry for God.
"Jay
said that there was a great need for people who were willing to step out
and help these professionals that had questions. I decided I wanted to
be one of those people."
Will
Barnes works as an Insurance Claims Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Carlton
and Carmen Jones
"We
were drawn to Priority Associates because of the opportunity to work alongside
of other business professionals in impacting the marketplace."
They
are not just talking about making a difference in the marketplace. They
are doing it," said Carmen. "It has been an exciting experience
to see dynamic Christians who are entrepreneurs, unabashedly incorporate
their faith into their businesses.
"We
saw tremendous interest when Peter Lowe came to Washington D.C. Priority
Associates passed out a magazine called Success Factors that went to thousands
of attendees. The magazine introduces biblical principles that can be
applied in the marketplace. After the event, over 300 people came to a
follow-up meeting on how to have true success and grow your relationship
with God. We saw the impact first hand. We saw lives changed.
"Priority
Associates was an answer to prayer for me," said Carlton. "I
wanted to be involved with individuals who were integrating faith and
work. There is great hunger and need. Many have made money, they are owners
of companies, but they haven't found satisfaction and fulfillment. People
are seeking something more. Here are other marketplace professionals,
just like me, who are transforming the marketplace and making an eternal
difference."
Carlton
and Carmen Jones are professionals in Washington, D.C. Carlton is general
manager of Frontier Corporation, a communications company. Carmen is a
project manager in the Secretary's Office of the Department of Transportation.
